When you use night crawlers it is very important to store them in commercial bedding with a damp cloth draped over the container. When you use ribbon leaches make sure to take them out of the container you purchased them in and place them in a Styrofoam bucket that is half full with non-chlorinated water. This will prolong the live of your ribbon leaches by several days. If you are storing your walleye fishing minnows in a bucket make sure it is aerated, preferably with a submerged pump that connects to a 12 volt battery.
